| Welcome to The MiscKit!
The purpose of these web pages is to make it easier for you to obtain information about the MiscKit. To get you started with the MiscKit, a
brief description of the MiscKit
and a FAQ are available.
News FlashesDue to feedback received following the Stepwise Birds of a Feather gathering at WWDC 2001, we have decided to release the new MiscKit 3 for Mac OS X under a more modern license. There will be some new information about the MiscKit for Mac OS X presented by Don Yacktman at the Stepwise BOF at WWDC. Don't miss it! (For those unable to attend, we will post the information on this site soon after WWDC.) AutoDoc 2.0 Beta 8 has just been released (May 17, 2001). There is a press release describing what is new and a mailing list for bug reports, discussion, and future development. If you use AutoDoc, you will definitely want to try out this new version. Parts of this code, including an all new MiscMerge, will be in the upcoming MiscKit 2.0.6 release and may be useful to developers now. There is a new MiscKit ftp archive available which contains everything which was on the old ftp archive. The archive is located at ftp.misckit.com, hosted by Verio.
Current ReleaseThe OPENSTEP MiscKit, version 2.0.5, was released September 6, 1997. Check out the press release describing it. MiscKit 1.10.0 was released July 28, 1997. See the press release for more details. If you have any submissions you would like to have included in future releases, please send them to Don Yacktman as soon as possible! Information about upcoming releases is available.
